I want to give you a hug for this comment. Those types of comments are super triggering, because I deal with a lot of self-blame for one of my rapes, too. Because afterwards, of course you think about all of the what-ifs that might have changed the outcome and you could have gotten away safely. Especially when it was…
All these shithead Internet Tough Feminists, grey and otherwise, telling us how they’d never let themselves get in this situation.
Maybe Fuller’s lengthy history on bailing on shows is a little suspect. But I will never not enjoy laughing at dumbass moneymen who try to cut costs by stifling creatives voices only to wind up having to spend more money than if just hadn’t fu**ing touched it
...
Whatever
The sumptuousness of what was on screen in the first season was my favorite part. I found American Gods the novel a bit workman-like, and I enjoyed the deviations and changes that Fuller introduced. Of course, I’m also a Hannibal and Fuller fanboy, and the gay djinn scene was amazing, so I’m quite biased.
I mean, the most famous story from the comics involved sex between a middle aged man and a minor in which the minor is the fucked up and predatory one.
For me it’s just the jacket. The rest of it is fine enough for a TV show, but the fur coat is not a good look for her. Maybe a leather jacket instead?
I just want to see her character smile or laugh at least once.
I really don’t get the backlash to Starfire here. She looks about as (quoting the phrasing I’ve seen used by a thousand other Internet denizens at this point) “hookery” as any other incarnation and I am betting 50/50 odds that she picks these clothes as an attempt to blend in. I can see it growing on me, honestly.
Keep hoping for that breast cancer relapse to happen any day now.
The Fox people won’t allow her to wear her hood on air. “Hides her blondness too much.”
I feel him, you cannot choose the hyper-religious, misogynistic, bigoted, racist ass family you are born into.
“We’ve been estranged”... that’s the most white, WASPy-est, chicken shit way of saying “My brother successfully Michael Bluthed his way outta the family after the pilot episode.”
This is why the rule allowing officers to decompress (ie come up with a cover story that fits the facts) is bullshit.
Hang on, are you telling me a police officer might be lying to cover up a crime they committed and the police department is going along with the perpetrators version of events even with direct contradictory evidence from impartial sources?
So glad for Tahani that she didn’t have to die in Cleveland. And the rest of them too. But Tahani is my favorite.
Ted Danson deserves an Emmy for Michael. Especially as his character has evolved during Season 2.
