Yeah, and you don’t have to pay extra to watch The Orville.
Yeah, and you don’t have to pay extra to watch The Orville.
I gave up on Discovery after the first episode. For my Star Trek fix, I’m watching The Orville.
Let me help you: this looks amazing.
“You can only jump so far into the future before Trek becomes wholly disconnected from its origins and buried in its own lore.”
What would you rather they did, film it with painted plywood walls with Jolly Ranchers glued to the control boards
You can practically hear some knee-knocking halfwit exec saying “but if no one is connected to Kirk or Spock, how will people knows is about the Star Treks???”
If they switched Sarek for Tuvok and set the show in the far-off future after VOY/DS9/TNG series, the show would be better for it and they’d keep their “known Vulcan connection”- granted, Tuvok is less known, but does it really matter?
When NASA’s Langley Research Center built its newest, state-of-the-art research facility in Hampton, Va., it was…
I’m glad I’m not alone in seeing this. Every headline and article has been almost vitriolic, which is beginning to undermine the author’s credibility a bit.
We had a trans-character come out to his husband and the husband accepted him unconditionally for who he is as a person ON FOX and that isn’t good enough.... sheesh.
Exactly. Beth should remember that while she might be well-versed on gender and trans issues, the average Fox viewer isn’t, and thus the show can speak to them as it would speak to her. It is fine to point out where the episode could be improved, but this article just dismiss the whole thing as regressive crap…
Here’s a question for the harshness this show is being judge by....if Ed Mercer were played by Nathan Fillion would the critical world be judging this show so harshly? If MacFarlane’s name wasn’t attached, wouldn’t we be lauding this as a worthy but imperfect heir for ST: TNG? I say this as a fan of both. The show is…
Frankly, I was surprised that it worked at times, especially given the lack of research into the issue of gender identity.
When do I get an apology for “Who’s Now”
The Batman could be a great time to introduce Damien, with the Older Batman and what nots.
The replacement for Colin Trevorrow has been found—and it’s a familiar face to Star Wars fans. Lucasfilm and Disney…
Nonsense. Superman and Evil Computers are always a hit.
Brandi got ethered....There are no combination of words that can accurately describe my level of shock and awe at the ETHERNESS of this response. Oh, my my my. Agatha pulled NO punches. Spared NO feels. I’m SHOOK!
I did watch the video and honestly it’s not that much of an improvement. You just get to see more of it. And the point is as geeks we should know better than anyone that early footage of CGI might not be fully rendered and render judgement accordingly.
