You don’t consider an unborn baby a life?

Entschuldigung, if I remember correctly from high school German class 20 years ago...

This is a very astute observation that I hadn’t thought of before. It was very questionable to me when they did this but I couldn’t put my finger on why exactly. Thanks so much for this!

Well at least now he can get back to what he’s been wanting to do for years — directing a sequel to 1994's Street Fighter live action film.

Jagged Little Pill came out when I was in 7th grade and let’s just say it’s the perfect album for that grade. Fuck Middle School.

Baaaad action movies, for one. There are several of them on Netflix. Typically low budget and direct-to-video. I watched one with Cam Gigandet where he played an imprisoned Navy Seal or something and he had to team up with two or three other heroes-turned-fugitive to stop the Russians (maybe?) from nuking American

Yes, thank you for this. It always makes me irrationally angry when they cast like this. It reminds me of when Zhang Ziyi was cast as the main character in Memoirs of a Geisha. She’s. Not. Japanese.

Yes, I had a similar experience too. When I finally divulged to my family that I had been molested, my parents were very supportive. However, one of my siblings brushed it off as me being “immature” and I guess somehow deserving of having been molested? Makes absolutely no sense. Still sore about those comments years

I’ve been working in South East Asia for several years now and deal with a lot of British, American, and Australian expats (as well as smaller communities of expats from the rest of the world too, but mainly the aforementioned three). Australians are the absolute worst to deal with by far. I know Americans get a lot

People with massive hard-ons for intersectionality, I guess.

Yes, Bautista is of mixed Greek and Filipino heritage.

I was molested in 1998 by a youth minister. He was caught in 2001 molesting boys after he changed to a different church. I remember my mom mentioning he had been arrested, and I broke down crying. I didn’t know how else to react. It would be two more years before I finally told anyone (my first serious girlfriend)

This reminds me of that episode of 30 Rock where Liz Lemon contemplated moving to Cleveland to be with her alcoholic boyfriend.

I bought it day one (there weren’t a lot of great PS2 games at the time) and found it repetitive, boring, and ugly to look at. I was pretty disappointed because it was fairly hyped at the time. I don’t remember the reviews being much higher than average.

I like Clerks 2 as well. I did not like Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.

“George C. Scott didn’t accept his Oscar because Native Americans.”

Disappointed not to see Emma Stone anywhere on this list.

I’ve been attending cons since 1999. I first heard about these allegations in 2005. I honestly cannot believe it’s taken this long for them to come out in a manner as significant as this. I personally met Vic in 2014 and he couldn’t have been nicer to me, though as a then-31 year old man I wasn’t exactly his type.

This is super interesting, so thank you for posting. I saw the movie last week and absolutely loved it. I didn’t know much about Alita going in except that it was based on a manga/ova from the 90s, so this fills in a lot of blanks. I really hope we get a sequel because it’s a super interesting world and I’d love to

I actually have to agree. I liked it in theaters, didn’t see it again for a few years, and recently caught it on Netflix again and still liked it. I actually slightly remember not liking Leto’s Joker much the first go-round, but enjoyed him a lot more the second time. Suicide Squad is not a great movie, but it’s also
