This is something I know nothing about, so take it with a grain of salt - I’m about to make some assumptions - but in a larger company (of, say, thousands) getting any significant support numbers without being noticed may not be possible.
Ha, unfortunately named law for the situation. I’m guessing that many people (myself included) just assumed the law was to prevent unfair competition in the games themselves.

Well hold on - I think one of the reasons Adventure Time is so successful is because it’s targeted towards kids. Cartoons which take pride in their wacky or dark sides, but which aren’t bound by family friendly standards tend to over-reach and lose any and all actual depth.
I just spent, no joke, 3 hours watching these videos. I cringed a little bit during one where they stuck a sticker on a gorgeous red 240 station wagon, though.

This is, like, the third time this has come up in this comment thread. Looking out of a window and looking at a TV are not the same thing. Not only can a TV not reproduce the same light spectrum as the sun faithfully, but you lack parallax. Even if it could track your position around the cabin and change it’s image…
