There are many unknowns but none of them should be taken to encourage being less aggressive in trying to contain the spread of the virus. What’s worked best in the places where infection rates are declining is quick, intense, extreme action to block the spread.  We have been doing the exact opposite.

The virus is spreading rapidly, but oddly the CDC is reporting the number of tests per day peaked on 3/5 and has been going down every day since. And that’s for all labs.

Here’s another article indicating there are shortages of a key part of the test kits, confirming what my state’s Medical Director said on Monday. Sounds like a major fiasco at the worst possible time.
