That’s AWESOME! I wear glasses and a topknot every day. Still look fly

I like your positive attitude! I’m in CA, too, so maybe your items are coming up shortly :)

Nerdy Latina here who still doesn’t know how to control her hair!! This video made me smile and giggle and high five to all of us!

Man, that sucks you haven’t gotten the stuff you bought! I’ve gotten small things (stickers and such) for small donations (like 5 bucks) I’ve made. They need to get it together!

ETA OK Bye!

Well, I live in California now if that tells you anything about my feelings for the South ha. The frat bros at my alma mater just threw a shit fit bc the school won’t allow them to have “Antebellum” themed parties anymore. The 35k student public school was also about 90% white when I was there.

Southern states are more similar than you might think. I’ve unfortunately spent time in pretty much all of them.

Just adding: I am not OUTRAGED OMG. I just thought it was stupid and feel bad for DuVernay. First Matt Damon, now this shit?

I grew up in Georgia, and I cringe every time I drive by something with “Plantation” in the name. It’s not engraved in us to call every farm a plantation.

K

I grew up in Georgia and it’s engraved in me to NOT call anything a plantation unless you know what connotation you’re trying to give. Which is, the good old days.

I have zero idea why it didn’t get edited out.

Cool story bro, but the only details he had was 3 children take over their dad’s farm after he died.

Ok, about another show last night...

Ok, so my avatar (obvs) and screen name (more subtly) out me as a Heathers superfan, but isn’t Scream Queens already the new murderous mean girl anthology? And I watched the shit outta that.

I went to see Boyz II Men, En Vogue, SWV, Dru Hill, and Ginuwine last night and it was fucking awesome.

I hear ya. My experiences with academia more consisted of me going “NOPE BYE YOU ALL SUCK,” but it takes all types. His parents will probably be proud of him, while my parents were saddled with 2 elite university dropouts :)

Yeah, I guess. My mother didn’t allow my school to fast track me, which would have had me graduating around 14. But I wasn’t a math genius, just a normal nerd.

Silly me thinking the child of two aerospace engineers would need a job to pay for his Ivy League schooling! Stay in school forever, young grasshopper!

And then what does he do when he graduates? Will he even be old enough for a work permit to work at the carwash (like I did at 16, and still managed to get accepted to a top 10 school)? I don’t understand this trajectory at all.
