Actually, you’ve got it backwards. You can’t own land in any meaningful sense - you can’t carry it with you or even hold it, really.

It means that private ownership of productive capital - land, factories, mines - effectively steals the product of those assets and concentrates them in the people who control it, usually using armies, police, etc.
