The past like “February 2017"?
Now it is “ It takes 20 years to build a reputation, and 144 characters or less to ruin it.”
I’m always willing to give the benefit of the doubt. I, personally went from “internet libertarian” to “progressive feminist” over the course of a very few years thanks to some really excellent friends and learning experiences that challenged me to recognize my more problematic opinions. It can and does happen, and…

That’s not it. You can say what you want. That doesn’t mean it won’t have consequences. Free speech is about the Government suppressing speech. Not shielding each other from consequences of saying stupid things. It depresses me I have to type this to someone (for like, the 11th time)
Free speech is freedom from government oppression. It is NOT freedom from consequences from the public. If you want to be a bigot verbally (not particularly the case here), you won’t be thrown in jail by the government. You will be condemned by everyone though.
These people, they got to grow up. When I was in college I was egalitarian, but guess what? By the time I finished college, I learned that “egalitarianism” is bs if minorities and the disadvantaged are not given the opportunity to reach equal footing with the rest of “Whitepeoplekind”. It’s why you read about the…
And that’s fair. But it’s a good idea to at least learn the fundamentals with some standard stuff too, just to get your bearings. Also, while Pachi was an inspired pick by Sejun, do keep in mind that he didn’t necessarily do it to play with something different. He just aptly recognized that it was the best fit on his…
This is what I thought a couple of years ago, but it’s really simple to get into. Just watch some games, tinker with teams that already exist, and have fun. You’ll improve in no time!
If you like the idea of competing but don’t want to breed and all the other nonsense for wifi battles, play Pokemon Showdown. Its a simulator that all the people in the tournaments use to practice and have fun. Totally free online battling!
It shouldn’t. Everyone has to start from somewhere, even these titans that are talked about.
What an incredibly sad story. It feels like we live in a small golden age of incredible video games: Breath of the Wild, The Witcher 3, Horizon Zero Dawn, all of which are technological marvels in one form or another. For Mass Effect, a property ripe with untold potential, to crash so hard in development is truly…
I don’t understand why EA or Bioware wouldn’t comment. This article actually makes me ALOT more forgiving towards them. Now that I understand why it fell apart and see that they were REALLY trying to deliver something unique, I feel like cutting them a break. Jesus guys, next time - take a breath and just try to…
Again, amazing read. Between your amazing the story behind articles and every fantastic opening to your Destiny articles, kotaku is so much better with you here.
They put a studio in charge of this that had never done a big project, and then had them do one of the biggest projects imaginable. Then you add EA/Bioware office politics and Casey Hudson who was the decisive factor in the ME3 ending and you get Andromeda. A hot mess with a ton of unrealized potential.
hmmmmm OK nobody read this article until you’ve pre-ordered the book
Sounds like they know what went wrong and could easily remedy that next time around, but instead are possibly giving up. I’m really enjoying Andromeda.
The game was too much of an undertaking for Montreal. In no scenario would this game ever have lived up to the massive expectation. Edmonton should have been the lead, but I get they probably wanted a break from the series to create a new IP.
In 2012, as work on Mass Effect 3 came to a close, a small group of top BioWare employees huddled to talk about the…
