My mom (65) has had multiple seizures and hospitalizations from a UTI, they are nothing to mess with. She doesn’t even realize she has one... they are terrifying!!

The UTI as the root cause of death makes me wonder how much that was related to medical access during this pandemic as this seems like something that, in normal times, should have been treated early and fairly easily.

This is such absolute bullshit. Bad nurses and doctors do this all. of. the. time. Especially to female patient. For three months I tried to get a cortisone shot in my hip. I was on the phone with nurse A then nurse B then someone else. I didn’t know who I was speaking to any of the time because they won’t identify…

That’s why I run adblocking. I have tried whitelising sites like this in the past, but when they get stupidly obnoxious, the block goes right back in. If the ads were SILENT, NON-AUTOPLAYING VIDEO, WITHOUT POPUPS, and didn’t bring computers to a screeching halt, I would leave the block off... but if sites can’t learn…

Y’know, it would be nice if there were a place here where I could go and click 12 or 15 times and then be left alone without being forced to click to get off a screen. But it’s not? Not really, anyway, if you aren’t in an income category that makes it difficult to impossible to boycott fast fashion*. You can contribute to helping in a few simple ways:

Companies that will at least try a little bit to be socially responsible. How about Old Navy? How about Uniqlo? These companies are large enough to find discounts through large fabric sourcing as well as auditing the factories themselves.
