I know this is a serious post, but I have to say that I hope someone finds a better way to refer to the first decade of the 2000s than the “Aughts.” I’m sorry, but it sounds so silly.

Someone call the hyperbole police! lol
I still don’t believe that it’s Zygarde. It could be, but the things people have brought up about it are hardly something that makes me think it’s definitely Zygarde. I honestly hope it isn’t. I’m ready for the next generation.
The only time I didn’t enjoy the game was when friends were trying to level me up. I know Destiny doesn’t have the best story in the world, but just completely ignoring it makes the game feel really pointless. If I start playing it again, I’ll likely progress through the rest at my own pace.
“Mature,” as in the misinterpretation that darker tones, more violence, and more sex means “mature.”
As long as he still has that ear-burning, monotone voice, I will never like Drake’s music.
Also, “designer” is a catch-all term for someone who creates video games. It can reference a programmer, concept artist, modeler, animator, etc...
Back then, they didn’t really have dedicated trades like we do today. Everyone kind of did everything in game development. Sure, some people focused more on other things, but he was hardly a game programmer like we use the term today.
I wouldn’t use that term to describe Reggie. I know we don’t like to think of it much when we borrow words from other languages, but gaijin actually carries a harsher context than you think.
I’m actually choking up. Didn’t know the man. Looked up to him. He’s part of the reason I’m studying game design. Just...wow...
We want to think the best of those we love. I’ve seen a lot of people completely dismiss wrongdoings by loved ones and family members for that reason.
Agreed, this form of entertainment is a luxury.
Reminds me of this.
Everyone except Nintendo, and people who don’t like MMORPGs.
The opinions can still definitely be dismissed. This isn’t some evil conspiracy. It’s people trying to fix a problem in gaming. It’s not stupid. It’s not hard. It’s not unnecessary. It is, however, something you can deal with. I’d even wager that it makes games more enjoyable. Better developed characters are always a…
Funny thing about consultants: They’re hired. They’re brought in to give opinions, not force them. Another funny thing about consultants: The people they’re consulting can choose to dismiss the consultant’s advice.
Ugh.
This is great! Equal representation in games is an amazing thing.
I pirated games when I was younger. I used the excuse, “I’m poor, so they wouldn’t be getting my money anyway.” I’ve been a legal adult for 10 years now, been able to legally hold a job in my home state of Texas for 15. I can no longer justify piracy to myself under that logic.
I can see someone’s point for using it…
Dammit! I just bought the XL a couple months ago!
