After a bit over 2 relatively pleasant, trouble-free years of ownership (except a few minor interior niggles, and an incident of dealer-caused damage) I decided to do a small trade-up from my 2017 Elantra Value Edition, and bought myself the first entry in the N-Line series; the Elantra GT N, fully loaded DCT, in…
Poked my head back in after not posting/lurking for a while, disappointed to see that not only is there no longer a direct link or mention of Oppo anywhere on the Jalop main page, but that this subsection has shrank considerably.
Google-Fu, you have failed me.
My question is really quite simple, yet I don’t understand why the answer is so evasive?
Today, I had made my first comment on a post in a very long time. It got me to thinking why it’s BEEN so long since I’ve commented on a front page post.
As I reviewed my post, I realized that it has been over 10 months since I even posted on Oppo. I used to lurk in Oppo, all those months ago, and then just stopped. I…
A connection bridged itself, unexpectedly, in my head while staring at the ass-end of a brand new Accord in front of me at a stoplight, not too long ago. One of many new Accords further proliferating in the East Bay. A moment in life where, without even meaning to, something just CLICKS in your head and you have an…
Love love love this car. Once the rainy season’s done, I’ll be doing round two. She was pretty dirty from not being washed for 2 months and the brake dust in the front was getting to me...
For those who have followed and commented on my E36 post found here:
Some close friends of mine just purchased a new vehicle, and they know I’m down a vehicle right now, so they offered to cut me a break on one of their old cars.
A rant to get off my chest.
I’ve noticed in the past couple of months, a marked and significant increase of vehicles sporting Texas license plates around here. Anyone know what the hell is up with that?
I need some measure of catharsis. I need to get this off my chest, and to vent to a crowd that runs a good chance of understanding.
This seems like a basic question, and I’d like some Oppo opinion on this.
Looks like today I’ve been having a lot of trouble typing replies, here. I’ll be typing then suddenly the cursor is just gone and I can’t type any more, until I pointedly click back on the field and continue to type. Sometimes it will do this multiple times in a post, or a sentence.
I was helping my parents shred some paperwork, when I came across this amusing gem.
I had to do a double-take.
Vyletel Volkswagen: Confirms Scirocco is coming to the US by pasting it all over it’s advertising! Can’t believe they actually used a car not sold in NA, in it’s advertising. Silly dealer.
Any Opponauts own a Turbo RDX, or the V6, or even better... both? Give me your opinions, please? How much do you like your RDX, and how does it compare?
After moving to California in a few months, I’ll be immersed back into the Tech Industry, and able to spend a bit more on a better quality vehicle than the usual…
"Brand new" last year. Has a couple dings and scuffs now, and needs to be waxed. All my neighbors thought we bought a brand new 2014 car, because it looked so nice.
<3 Scooby. It's like that problem child who you helped rebahbilitate and made to be a productive member of society again.
I've always wondered if there was a difference in what kind of deals I can get, between going to a dealer in a nice, ritzy area... and going to the one that's in a rough part of town. This is regarding leasing a brand-new vehicle.
The Escape is Ford's mainstay in the "Compact SUV/CUV" market. It once had a twin called the Mercury Mariner. The latest iteration shares it's platform with the new Lincoln MKC.
Unfortunately, recent circumstances have dictated that we may end up giving up our once-again-broken Forester, for something else.
* Not a lot of money saved up since I just started working again this past month.
* Husband can't work more than 2 days a week which kills our earning potential, so we need a…
