Oppo, I want to learn to drive a stick shift because in 2-3 years, I will plan on buying a new to me stick shift daily driver to replace my beloved TSX. In my mind, there are two options:
Ladies and Gentlemen of Oppo, the time has come to set aside my tax refund and immediately dump it back into my 1972 Chevy Monte Carlo. If you forgot, I bought the Big Blue Beauty/Monica (interchangeable names I’ve give the Monte) at the end of last July. I enjoyed her until about mid September, after that point she…
Oppo, I want to play a game. I’m watching two similar movies tonight. Guess them:
While I was looking at pictures of first gen Monte Carlos, I noticed that none of cars (including mine) don’t have passenger side mirrors. Was this a unique design quirk only seen on the Monte Carlo? Would it hurt the value of the car if I added the side mirror?
Does anyone here order parts from Original Parts Group? I’ve been rummaging around the website for the little oddball pieces mising on the Monte Carlo. I noticed they are a little pricy, is it worth it? Any input would be great.
A 72 Chevy Monte Carlo! Really strong 350 small block, with power discs in the front and power steering. I am beyond excited.
As you all may or may not remember, I wrote yesterday that I was going on a car viewing journey to Vermont today, so I just want to review my findings.
I am driving 3 hours into Vermont to look at 1971 Ford Torino tomorrow. What should I look for aside from rattles/rust/abnormalities/things that don’t work? Cherry Man and Montego Man, looking at you specifically. The link is below, and I know I can talk the price down, so I’m not too worried about that.
CT/Mass/NY Oppos, Monday is opening night for Mark’s Cruise Night near Bradley International Airport. Since it it supposed to be in the 80s on Monday, there will a big turnout. Gates open at 5pm. If you want more info, go to their website www.markscruisenight.com
I've been trying to contact someone on Craigslist about a car they have for sale. He hasn't replied, how long should I wait for a reply? And how many times is an acceptable amount to contact him? (He lists his phone and email in the ad, and I've emailed him twice.)
What resources are available to look for a muscle car for sale? Auto trader classic is very underwhelming, and there are too many local Craigslist pages to scour. I'm open to any new website or print resource to check out.
I found this on the local craigslist. Dodge Ram, not a lot of info, and an engine misfire. The solution could be as easy as a spark plug, or I could need new injectors. What do you think Oppo? Get more info or just move to next listing.
Now that I actually have a full salary job since graduating from WVU in December, I am starting to think of possible project cars. Now, I wouldn't act on this impulse right away, since I have no garage. Here are some thoughts on what I think would be pretty awesome cars to tinker with. Let me know your thought,…
Acura, the one auto manufacturer who has lost their identity in the last couple years. Are they a luxury car brand? Are they a sports car brand? Nobody knows, but roll back to the tender year of 2008, and Acura had an identity (and a great platform to build on). Touches of luxury, touches of sportiness, walking the…
Is Kohl's C&C still going on? Or are they done for the season? I'm back in Nova for the weekend and would love to go.
Hello everyone! My first post, I'm going to try and keep it short and sweet. I'm from the Nova (Chantilly) area, and go to school at WVU. I graduate in December with a Wood Science degree, so I'm looking to go into the lumber field. I've been perusing Oppo for about a year now, so I'd figure I would finally write a…
