I don’t, at all. I think the unspoken point across the industry is that, if carmakers actually wanted autonomous cars to work, you’d have to ban driving. No one wants to broach the subject because it’s much easier for auto execs to coo about the *possibilities* of AVs.

Ballaban took a point I made as an example to illustrate that I enjoy driving long periods of time, and misconstrued it to suggest that I believed this was a trip “across the country.” This is not the case. But I think it’s clear I drove “across” part of the country, anyway.
