Musically, the Voyager theme is the most striking for the reasons you mention but also towards the end, it sounds almost somewhat triumphant.

As a Vikings/Twins fan, the only thing I can offer to explain this scenario is that being let down only 9/16 times a year is far better than 99/162. I mean, 9 times a year is a bargain.
