I am struggling to see how DFW and Austin are the same market. The DFW metroplex should be able to support ANY events they hold on their own.

Just two very fast dudes celebrating in Austin.

IndyCar-IMSA doubleheader!

Eddie Gossage is such a dick.

“We don’t need another (race) in the market to cause people to make choices and decisions.”

One of these years I hope the sanctioning bodies tell Gossage and SMI to shove it. The track hasn’t produced decent racing in years. They’re clinging to that contract because it’s all they really have left. All that money dumped into promoting the 3 major weekends at TMS, and have had hardly anything in return the

It’s a live sporting event. There is no such thing as spoilers for a live sporting event. If you choose not to watch it live then it’s up to you to avoid people discussing it. The world does not revolve around you and your schedule.

ALONSO WAS 7TH. I REPEAT. ALONSO WAS 7TH!!!!!!

To be fair, Stef is quite busy as we speak with, you know, actually being at the track.

As far as I can tell the previous record was:

...two Wacos worth of humans...

You are such a blessing. I just checked into my hotel and haven’t done any planning outside the track for food or entertainment. Thank you for the guide!

RSVPing a beer or six

I bet Grosjean felt completely drained after that wreck.

The minute you acknowledge a persons gender or race first over their talent/individuality, you create a poor narrative that begs for more “First woman to ...”

are you trying to mansplain mansplaining?

It would be nice if we could stop focusing on the gender or the color of who wins and just celebrate the person. Something is lost when we focus so intently on the Gender/Race of someone over the individuality of said person.

I assume she started around 8 or 10 by the time you’re 12 you’ve pretty much given up any chance. Hell if you’re not born into a family who is raising you as a racer you don’t have much of a shot. Lesson here... buy your daughter or son a motorcycle asap!

Wow, all the people bitching about “another article focusing on gender” and trying to mansplain-down her victory. Christ, people, grow up.

I’m sure it was a great performance, but I wouldn’t exactly call that pass wild. More like skillful and opportunistic, in a good way.

20? Christ. Even at 25, it’s to late for me to pretty much do anything with my life.
