I feel like RTD and Garth Marenghi's attitudes about writers who use subtext align perfectly

So someone who is against Israel's continued genocide of the Palestinian people is a "Nazi sympathizer." Fascinating.

Jenna Ortega has a half dozen Times of Israel articles, some comparing her to Kanye West, because she called the burning down of dozens of Palestinian villages in the West Bank over the summer and the on-camera murders of Palestinians by Israeli Settlers and the IDF an ethnic cleansing.

Nope, she left weeks, perhaps even months ago...but the timing of the announcement is perfect. That’s A+ work on her publicist.

Israel is not a monolith that stands for all Jewish people and to suggest otherwise is anti-semitic. Try again asshole

Seems like reminding some folks that Palestinians are human beings too and deserve to live and have their human rights respected as well makes them think you’re a Nazi, huh?

Royal Bigness is a known troll & should be dismissed.

We should each channel Godzilla’s rejection of consistent scale in our everyday lives.

Ben Mendelsohn is also amazing, but the show didn’t give him enough to do and then killed him off.

Also because it is one of the very, very few MCU projects that is legitimately just straight up bad. With the sole exception of Olivia Coleman, everyone and everything in it sucks.

Personally, I loved Rogue One. Yeah, it’s a side-story full of nobodies, but I loved it. It had the best vibe of any of the Disney films, it had the best aesthetics, and it was grimier than any of the other Disney films. Andor shoots an ally to escape in the opening scene, and I latched on to that immediately. I want

> Ahsoka: “A Jedi Warrior, who grew disenchanted with her creed, forges a new path in the gray areas between good and bad.”

Honestly, this is WHY I’m interested. It looks like it’s not about a Jedi, or a different Jedi, or a bounty hunter. It’s about the regular people.

Well no we know where the budget for book of boba fett went. This looks every bit like a movie and matches rogue one completely.

This is such an absurdly bad faith argument. Its just as easy to say
The Book of Boba Fett- hey remember the guy in the cool armor that died in RotJ? well what if he lived and became a (really bad) crime lord for some reason
or to be positive
Andor- As the newly formed Empire begins to clench it’s iron fist, a young

It’s a Rebellion before ANH series. I think that’s pretty cool, although not as cool as if we’d gotten a Bail Organa focused series starring Jimmy Smits.

I thought it was done really well. I continue to be baffled by the whole “fatphobia” hot take that just won’t die.

Big people can certainly be beautiful (eye of the beholder and all)... but when it’s so clearly a consequence of trauma we’re really just talking about a pathology... and no one is served by us ignoring,

I’m right there with you. Having depressed Thor sitting around playing Nintendo, drinking beer, but maintaining his buff surfer body would have seemed... off. I thought his story was handled with humor but also with empathy. I’m a fat guy, and I had no problem with any of it.

Yep. As someone who is overweight I have no problems with the jokes that were made in Endgame. And even if I had a problem, the portrayal of Thor’s depression was amazing.

So Hot Take: I am actually glad they did Fat Thor, it is actually a fairly well done handling of PTSD and depression and how people tend to deal with those who suffer from it, i.e. not well) CinemaWins actually does a great breakdown of it in his video on Endgame. I’m hopeful this film follows through on it.
