He would just sleep on the rug/under the couch usually. I did have to bunny-proof my apartment carefully (no electrical cords on the ground being the main thing). When he was young he tended to get into trouble chewing on things, but after around age 5 he was very chill and well-behaved.

Huh, I can see how you would read it that way, but I think it’s a fair phrasing. We’re not talking about lung cancer here but rather acute, rapid-onset lung injury. So finding out specifically what is causing these events is important, given how common vaping is.
