For. The. Last. Time. For the people in the cheap seats.
I want to know more about the dead civilizations of the world, the underground spider-folk, the fish people, the things around Asshai and the Heart of Darkness (a supposed counterpart to the Heart of Winter). I want to know more about Yi-ti and the truth about Azor Ahai. I want to know about the place north of Yi-ti…
I honestly don’t see why. All the highlights of that have basically already been talked about at length, or even literally filmed and shown on screen. We don’t have footage of Robert smashing Rhaegar with his warhammer, but otherwise we pretty much already have this show, two to eight minutes at a time.
My father was 5'3" and wore his insecurity about height on his shoes. Lifts were not flattering. I don’t blame him but the short man syndrome and the resultant chip on his shoulder could make things miserable.
Never been a fan of Rousey. Don’t like pugilism and she is a crime against acting.Having said that, as much as hate to agree with her, she is right about the transgender fighter.
There was the fiver thing, and the time he did the Nazi salute. He also recommended to his followers a neo-Nazi channel, and later claimed he had only watched the one video, even though that’s not what he said when he recommended it. He’s also dropped racial slurs on his channel, including the n-word.
Here’s the problem: Everything he’s doing is catnip for racists. I’m not questioning his motives. I don’t really care if he’s actually racist or if he just thinks this shit is funny. I’m just not interested. But that “YouTube is going to delete my channel because I’m white” video was red meat for Nazis whether it was…
He set up a GoFundMe after he ridiculed a couple of impoverished Indians for holding up an anti-Semitic sign for a small amount of money.
Aside from his constant courting of Alt-right imagery, memes, dressing up like Hitler, “kill the jews” jokes, and recommending alt-right reactionary Youtubers, I’m not really sure where people get the idea he might be part of the problem. /s
In all seriousness though, it’s worth people knowing exactly how the alt-right…
I’m not even really sure what your point is here. But it’s clear you had a point to make but at the expense of other people, regardless of whether the end result was coherent or not. It seems though that you either haven’t watched much of Jim Sterling’s videos or you’re one of those folks that “watches”, but you…
While I’m sure some Youtubers do it simply out of greed, I wouldn’t lump Sterling in with them. I think his reaction is more along the lines of hardened, bitter cynicism after years of the industry’s bullshit, and him enjoying tearing the industry a new one whenever it fucks up.
Yup, this is key. Asshole nerds are just as misogynistic as asshole jocks.
Trying to pretend like misogyny is a jock vs. nerd problem isn’t helpful. Misogyny (and racism and homophobia and...) run just as deep in most nerdy cultural enclaves as they do just about anywhere else. The lack of women on the m:tg pro scene isn't just because of this one creepy douchebag.
This shit is getting old.
If by “nothing,” you mean blackface, then, yes; it is not allowed.
The devs can do whatever they want, but I’m sure not buying it as is. I guess it “should” have an easy mode if the devs want to make more money? Otherwise, there’s a billion other games I can play that won’t frustrate me.
That *is* harsh though because you’re all but asking players with disabilities to go elsewhere. In this example, an easy mode or even a series of toggles that allow players to customize game experiences is about allowing them to participate in that experience. It’s inclusive, and not in the dime-store way that word is…
So yes, your enjoyment of *this* game is contingent on other people not being able to enjoy the game. Even if you never play the easier difficulty offered, the knowledge that someone else out there, somewhere, has played it and possibly even enjoyed it makes your experience worse...somehow.
It’s a pretty ingenious move. The people who are most pissed off and inclined to misbehave can’t do anything about it all day, after which their impotent rage at “SJWs” will have subsided like a goldfish taking another lap around its bowl.
I wish they went with the jungle-spin off. Would’ve been a more diverse cast (imagine: finally a proper PoC medieval show!), new storyline, piracy themed, et cetera. This is just more of the same. Been there, done that. The alternative could’ve been so fresh and coooool.
