I was horrified and terrified by the number of people who were attempting to justify this. While I’d been making dark comments since November 2016 about this being the end of our nation, a part of me really didn’t believe it.

Conservatives loved saying shit like “This was required by the courts” (bullshit) and “Obama did this, too” (also bullshit). So many fucking morons came out of the woodwork to excuse and support concentration camps for kids.
Looks like Americans will have to change their behavior and their consumption patterns. I’m no expert, but I’m pretty sure glass is pretty recyclable.
Yeah. If you ask his base, he just “fixed something ‘The Kenyan’ fucked up.”
Oh, I’ve already had a family member who follows her brand of Christianity (the kind where so long as you don’t have an abortion and don’t bake a cake for a gay person, you get to go to heaven) post a really shitty meme about how if you’re outraged about how children are being ripped apart from their mothers, you…
Considering SHS has a brother who once butchered a dog at Boy Scout camp, saying she treats Trump like family isn’t an unusually huge endorsement.
One is a crime against humanity. The other is a minor inconvenience to a piece of shit fascist perpetrating that crime.

We also don’t eat out at restaurants a whole lot because with young kids it’s just easier (and cheaper) to drink at home.
That’s a perfectly reasonable opinion/stance to take.
I agree with that attitude towards a cosby or a polanski. Towards someone who has a pattern of behavior. Towards someone who refuses to accept responsibility for their actions, and does not work to change themselves.
Are people never allowed a second chance?
you state a position and provide sources, dude says “nuh uh” with no sources.. don’t waste your time
That’s horrifying — both your own near-fatal meningitis as a kid and the potential you point out that the criminally negligent way the guards ignored the meningitis of the detainee could have allowed wider contagion. I didn’t consider how easily a hellhole situation like that could have triggered a spread of disease…
I don’t know the medical situations in all the various ICE detention facilities — that’s something that needs to be investigated — but for the holding facility where this man’s obvious health crisis was untreated and needlessly progressed to death, the statement is true. From the linked report above:
they should get some Red Cross workers into those children’s prisons right away
Yes. In addition to their emotional trauma, children are held in awful conditions, including cages:
I was so happy to hear that they are suing. I’m doubly, triply glad that I send them money.
