I agree. The comedy focus of SP over the years has shifted from satirizing hypothetical responses to holding up a satirical mirror and telling people “this is what you look like”. Naturally most people don’t like what they see.

I think the issue is that in 2017 people are more and more afraid of acknowledging some of the failings, incoherencies and fallacies that causes, people, movements and ideologies they align with so plainly have.

In canada and the UK it is illegal to talk about how terrible islam is. In California they’re making laws to make it illegal to not use someone’s preferred pronoun.
