Is ... Is that Baymax?

Given that they’ve taken things that aren’t rapey in the books and making them rapey on the show, I’m worried that “there were a couple of things that changed as a result” means they’re going further into rapetasticness.

Midnighter broke up with Apollo? Oh no!

I am unfamiliar with this book! Must seek. Thanks!

Okay. You’ve sold me. I’m now looking forward to it.

Thanks! I’d been wondering.

Also, this episode had some great visual call-outs to “Six String Samurai” (given that the ep was directed by Rachel Talalay, I’m guessing it was not a coincidence)

HUZZAH! ALL HAIL ANNALEE! SO SAY WE ALL.

Jeri cutting the thing in that room is barefly justified. In general, Jeri is a pretty stupid smart person.

I thought it had some great moments and was wonderfully atmospheric, but so many things struck me as nonsensical that I kept getting pulled out of my suspension of disbelief. I ended up viewing it as something in cartoon-land where physics makes no sense.

Well. that’s not creepy at all.

I would totally play a zombie-themed costume quest type game!

OH MY GOD I WOULD WATCH THE HELL OUT OF THIS. TAKE MY MONEY FULLER! TAKE IT NOW!

Ah! I think I first read it in an intro to one of Sturgeon’s collections of short stories. I believe the foreword-writer opined that Sturgeon was always lighting rather than lightning bug.

One of the things I loved about the animated movie “War of the Worlds: Goliath” (a sort-of sequel to WotW) was that they had *two* different covers of “Forever Autumn” in the soundtrack.

To quote (I believe) Ted Sturgeon, it’s the difference between “Lightning” and “Lightning bug”

The latest Terminator movie had the same problem. You literally have decades - why do you have to rush?

Nixon requested that the film version of “1776” be cut to remove the “cool considerate men” number, which had the more conservative founding fathers goose-stepping.
