Poe and crew don’t seem surprised to see her Force-flying back to the ship - maybe they’ve seen her do small Force things here and there? Non-cinematic Luke doesn’t do justice, but I think some of his bad-assery has been touched in with some of the novelizations and/or graphic comics.
