Anybody know if any of these guys are still alive? The real guys I mean, not the actors.

I like to think it isn’t about difficult to get resources, as in the fuel and slim jims, as it is that customers are paying in a few minutes for the owner to be there all year.
I was 100% going to say the same thing. That’s just poor planning if you end up needing to stop there. If you are heading in to that general area and DON’T stop to fill up, in say Barstow, you are just dumb.
As the owner of cars that only take premium, that is exactly where my mind went! :-D
It’s nice to see only a $0.20/gal premium for premium, versus a $1.20/gal premium though.
Its the same situation at the Needles outpost
Supply and demand, baby. Same price structure on cruise ships and movie theaters. And in defense of the gas station, a little pre-planning with fueling up before driving into the desert and traveling with plenty of water is simple common sense.
I think he’d have gotten away with the Logano move, but Hamlin pointed out that NASCAR warned drivers about deliberately trying to send cars straight on head first into the wall by clipping their rear bumper to the left. That’s just too dangerous.
Selling for a friend, what the hell is up with that?
“Just needs.” There’s no such thing as just needs. If it just needs a $300 freon charge do it and ask for $500 more. But you know it’s not that. It needs a $1,500 in compressor/clutch/lines work. If it just needs an 02 sensor to pass inspection, buy the $50 thing and put it in. But you know it’s not that. It needs…
“A/C needs a re-charge” = “Add another $1000 to replace the A/C compressor, lines, condenser and everything else related to the system.”
“In great condition, just needs. . . *lists a dozen weekend projects* . . . parts are in the trunk, easy fix, just haven’t had time to install them.”
“Do those empty Monster cans and Dollar General receipts come with the car?”
Oh wow that’s actually a fair price in this market.....
It’s 9 liters of oil, man. It’s never going to be cheap.
Especially when you’re in an illegal cross-country race.
It’s a big country, plenty to see and do right here. Plus MANY people have neither the money nor the vacation time to leave. Europeans can just hop on a train and be in another country in minutes to hours, it’s rather more of a project to leave the US. Unless if you happen to live near Canada or Mexico - and the…
She gets a kickback for the tows. Which is why she called it in and why the tow company waved the fees. Don’t want that to become public knowledge. The reason some cars are allowed to break the rules as well.
Only a fucking HOA could make a towing company the most moral party in a story.
That’s nice, but if only it came with a manual.
