It’s a good question, and one the internet doesn’t actually know the answer to. In order to know for sure, somebody would need to ask a Feige or a Pascal or a Watts or a Russo etc. I’m sure io9 is up to the challenge

I can’t imagine that she’s bundled into the Spider-Man IP. Aside from a similarity in naming, they’re entirely unrelated characters.
I could be wrong but her first apperance was in a “Marvel Presents” issue or somesuch, with no relation to Peter Parker or Spiderman. Later she had a mini-series and than vanished into the nether for the most part until Bendis brought her back.
It’s one of the biggest mysteries. The “appeared first in X” rule seems to be disproved by now, so I just assume that EVERY Spider-* character belongs to Sony, even if it doesn’t make sense. Marvel should own at least two Spider-Women, the first (Jessica Drew) and the second one (Julia Carpenter) because neither of…
After some poking around, there doesn’t seem to be a clear answer to who wons the movie rights to Spider-Woman/Jessica Drew. But the common theory is that Sony owns the name Spider-Woman as part of their blanket “anything spider-related” license, but may not have Jessica Drew. So, it may end up being like the Hulk…
Actually, Porsche didn’t pay anything.
Cementing his role as one of the most fun, charismatic directors working right now, Taika Waititi took to YouTube to…
No I didn’t. You did.
The appeal of Barb is that she is perfect for people on social media to post a photo of with the caption “#me”. You can decide just about anything you want for her personality, and make it “headcanon”.
The only good Vice article: https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/kwkbw3/fuck-barb
Yeah I don’t get the Barb thing. She was a friend. She died. The end.
I resisted this show for months, and I’m glad I finally gave in. It’s not a masterpiece or anything, but it is pretty good and I’m looking forward to Season 2.
I am really hoping that is an SNL reference
Not to be left out, even though she always is, Sinead O’Conner. Standing up against the Pope for the abuses that have been occurring from within the Catholic Church. She was right and she was brave to speak out. Too bad no one listened.
Saying he talks a lot is a bit of an understatement. The other thing I really like about him is how humble he is to people that don’t like his work, when he turns it back on to them. Basically he just says “I’m just lucky to be living the dream and if a chump like me can movies imagine what you can do”
Damn, the difference between your comment and burl’s is so stark I think I just spontaneously turned into a direwolf.
Evil speedsters in general are what the series is missing.
CW is now doing an evil Flash?
Fair enough!
Maybe we have finally reached the point where we will stop blaming and shaming the women performers into silence. As a society we (and we have to own it ladies) have been less than supportive:/
