You’re right, they are 8 lug. Interesting. I bet you are right that the bearings and hubs were upsized to get up to 8501 GVWR.

So basically they’re terrible because Americans bought so many? If they had only sold 5,000 of them then they’d be cherished on this site.
I’m American. I’m irrational. I may have a short outlook. I dont care. I love the H2. I’d buy one, except it was built like shit. If there was a decent quality H2 out there today, I’d own one. I’m fucking tired of crossovers. Someone build a legit SUV already. That 4dr bronco from yesterday, absolutely has my…
I sold these when they were new, ask me anything related to them, their customers, or the like.
Where did this car’s ass go?

Mr. R, if I may have a word with you.
I get why people like XJs in terms of their rough and tumble nature, solid front axle, and what used to be affordability. But now that cleaner ones are climbing quite a bit in value, what virtues does it have over say a 3rd gen 4Runner? The latter is much better built, is a more rugged and durable vehicle in terms…

you wannabe “car guys” get cars all wrong for all the wrong reasons. car snobs is a more accurate label if you ask me. being a car nerd or car guy is to love automobile-dom in all its wack and fuckery. like the pontiac aztek, a car no one understood or too few people dare to defend......a great car. people loved them.…
In 1999 my parents had a ton of GM-card ‘credit’ that they had to use or lose, and I helped them decide on an Intrigue GLS. This debuted the “Shortstar” DOHC V6, some of GM’s better brakes, and an interior that was slightly less full of hard plastics than other GM models. In 2015 they purchased an Optima SXL Turbo…
