So far I’ve used it to get diamonds for rupees, and then also enough items to upgrade the defense of one of the amiibo sets to max. I’m sure we will see a sad post from Nintendo at some point about ruining the spirit of the game, but getting hit for 4-5+ hearts is not enjoyable to me, sorry!

I think Jeff said before he left that they didn’t consider OW1 to be a live service game, and had to pivot afterwards on it. What they thought they were realizing I’ll never know.  But live service games weren’t as prevalent 7 years ago.

I agree with some RPG mechanics/XP! It’s weird to be running around the world (I decided to unlock all the Skyview towers first) and not get anything for it (well, besides the map). I guess I keep thinking about Spider-Man where you always felt like you were getting something, no matter how mundane the task.

I don’t necessarily need a smaller world (although TOTK is absolutely enormous. If the size is why it took 6 years, maybe smaller is better?)

It’s possible those staff were already overseeing projects at the Florida parks anyway so why not move. Plus when this was announced in 2021 housing prices were still really low in Florida. I bet those families got a hell of a deal on a bigger house/land than they could afford in CA.

I agree with that. I was working 10 years in the office, now 11 years completely remote (same company). Almost everything is better about working from home, and most days I get more done/stay later (if needed). (Most days, some days I do get distracted).
