Didn't they already do the X-Men First Class thing back in the 90s, and wasn't it awful? Anybody remember the "phycic" class where they have the students look at magic eyes?
"And to be honest, last night's episode was all worth it for..." [3 pictures of Summer Glau]
For the billionth time- tasers are not a compliance tool. Tasers are meant as a non-lethal alternative to a gun. Would the police have shot this man three times, if they didn't have tasers? I'm guessing no.
1) Maddox?
Watching this at work, with the sound off, this encapsulates everything I found wrong with the Green Lantern trailer in a nutshell.
I'm fairly certain the image on the left is color-enhanced, probably using infrared data, and the new image is just pure infrared.
Cap looks... okay. There's not enough chin there though, so the dude winds up looking pretty dorky. I can just see him scrambling in trenches because his glasses got knocked off. And the robotic doomguys behind him, yeah, those don't look good.
Everyone, please, just shut up. Please.
@Hotscot: Oh, that's the impressive visual effect I'm supposed to see. I couldn't tell from the Green Hornet clip.
So CSI, Psych, NCIS... basically every crime-related telivision series of the past decade.
Having a picture of (I assume) a butcher is perfect.
To me, it's like watching Mythbusters filming an explosion in slow motion, and being asked where and when you would point out the object known as "explosion". You can't. There's a lighter, there's a buildup of gas, and here you can see the critical moment at which the ambient gas starts to catch fire, etc. You could…
Okay, customer, here's a simple list of what we need to do:
@garrettloughran: Same with father-in-law. Although, he mosts uses his AOL email address to forward pictures of animals to everyone he's ever known, so I feel it's appropriate.
@Mahir Ko.: Ugh... right-click... where's the right click? Command click? You have to press a key on the keyboard, to right-click? FFUUUUU-
@Manly McBeeferton: Correctish. The event horizon is the point at which the black hole's gravity is so strong, not even light can escape. (Technically, hawking radiation is an exception, but that's a whole other thing.)
@Destronok: Oh but black hole is okay? Cosmological racist... lol.
@prometeum: Short version, layman talk. Light moves through space at a fixed rate. Picture space as a 2d sheet, and a black hole is a really heavy steel ball sitting on the sheet, or like a really heavy person on a trampoline. The gravity is so strong, even though light is racing forward as fast as it can in space,…
@Darksider1972: Weren't those solved, like, years ago? There's YouTube vids of ball lightning being recreated in labs.
