the blind faith in Trump and ignorance of the world around them is staggering to me.

Seriously, I wonder what the math is on that.
“Some studies have shown” I call bullshit. Tesla’s are 75% normal cars by weight*, so they take the same energy as a regular car to build (materials, stamping etc). You telling me casting blocks doesn’t use energy? The milling and casting that an ICE engine requires takes a ton of energy.
Letting the market decide is most definitely not logical.
Can we alternate? Vancouver odd years, Toronto even years? Start in 2019!
Caveat that I’m a Canadian Civics teacher, but: laws are passed by legislature (senate/Congress/parliament) but regulations can be changed by executive orders (pres/prime minister, governor etc). Regulations being all the fine print within the laws passed by legislature
What?? What car is that?
Oh no, they pay no attention. They just trundle along. I’m generally not in a rush so I don’t mind. If I need to honk I will, I just find the horn a bit of overkill sometimes.
I’m a cyclist and motorcyclist too, so I try not to be a dick to anyone; and I definitely don’t do what cyclists in your area do!!
I love this idea, sort of like a quieter, less obnoxious horn.
no stupid questions, we’re all friends here :)
This is how
Americanpolitics have worked for centuries.
We all see examples of what we perceive of as waste, but unless we’re experts on road repairs/contract procurement etc, I don’t think we’re in a good position to judge; I wouldn’t presume to tell a civil engineer when a road needs replacing because I’m not a civil engineer. Why do people feel entitled to give their…
And this is a typical response from people who say they’ll pay more taxes but only if they’re “properly spent” or “get their money’s worth” because governments are wasteful.
Toxic waste crisis from fully recyclable batteries? Are you dumb?
its only terrifying if you’re afraid of every eventuality. yes, he could make it worse, or *gasp* not brake at all!
I drive a Prius V, got it in August 2015
Nope, which is why the Dempster highway was paved with local stone, rather than the gravel that is usually used. The local stone is pointy shale, and pops tires regularly.
This is why carrying 2 spare tires is a very good idea.
I drove it and punctured my first spare - if I had had another puncture I had another to…
DING DING DING we have a winner.
I know you Americans like to get into gun debates (without actually accomplishing anything) but can we talk about the other elephant in the room - that this is domestic violence and misogyny taken to its worst extreme?
Fair point, but a cop who couldn’t reason their way out of this incredibly simple problem is stupid (I’d say ignorant) or decided to punish her for “lying” about where she lived (power trip).
