I question how this remotely destigmatizes anything. He made a some personal porn you can view on a prominent porn site, which you probably wouldn’t visit unless you were fundamentally okay with porn. But he’s not actually a sex worker, and if anything this makes sex work and porn look worse, not better. This wasn’t

Boeing withheld critical information about MCAS from the airlines because they knew if they didn’t, the airlines would have to spend millions in training and likely would order Airbus instead. Don’t take the blame away from the AMERICAN company this is responsible for those deaths. The pilots of both planes that

Sucks to be Boeing.

Maybe it’s just me but the ‘glacial’ court scenes were far more interesting than a rote battle for battle’s sake - we don’t even get to see the actual highlight of it, Daemon versus the Crab Feeder, which happens off screen.

Also the dragons the arrive are not the forces that Viserys was sending (which did not

They didn’t talk about confirming it with Daemon but it’s discussed immediately before he arrives in the penultimate scene:

During the final battle, I was hoping they would have killed off Daemon. That would have been an exciting, unexpected turn.

They didn’t forget, there were multiple shots of the Crabfeeder scanning the skies for the dragons before sending his men out.

It’s the two dragons Viserys promised (good timing! Definitely not a deus ex machina!).

The show would have been better off to deviate from the book and kill Viserys off during the hunt given how weak his character development has been and how the plot needs to get moving someplace if they’re not willing or able to do it with the characters.

The acting is, indeed, good, and the setting and characters are strong. I think the big strength of this show and GOT (at its height anyway) is that their stories are structured in such a way that characters are often facing genuinely difficult choices with big consequences. It makes the plot fun to guess at but

I object to Jenna’s description of the final battle as thrilling — everything about it was totally obvious and not shot in an interesting enough way to make up for that. This is my biggest complaint about this show so far: it just seems like box-ticking and moving pieces into place.

If Alicent is sleeping with any Targaryen in this series so far, it’s Raenarys.

Also, his discussion with Rhaenyra indicates that he’s looking for someone kind who can bring a sense of warmth to both their lives. Otto may have wanted Alicent to seduce him the old fashioned way but (whether intentional or not) Alicent won him over by helping him through his grief and having the dragon mended seems

I *do* think Hightower wanted Alicent to fuck the king - I just don’t think she had it in her to try and do so (which, in the long run, was the right move even if she didn’t intend it as such).

All characters we didn't meet for seasons...this is episode 2

There’s been no evidence shown they had a sexual relationship.

Yeah even Brienne - who was very serious - would occasionally comment on the utter stupidity of the people around her.

There’s a palpable tension between Viserys and Alicent, who has probably been sleeping with the king in the six months since the queen died and who, I cannot emphasize enough, is 15 years old.

The lack of any levity is going to be a problem.  The most beloved characters in Game of Thrones, like Davos or Tormund, were very witty and entertaining alongside being serious.  Its what made me frankly root for them to survive, because they didn't just brood all day.  Those two were also probably the least damaged

I got into this episode more than the first one. It was refreshing for this type of show to eschew action and violence and tell a character-based story. Sure, you could say they didn’t do anything new with the story and dialogue, but I was involved because of the actors, especially Paddy Considine, and the breakout
