The argument has been that Trump has somehow legitimized these people, but these people have always been legitimate and their views have always had influence. The racism that people have conveniently been able to ignore (because it makes them uncomfortable) or quietly pushed forward is now out in the open for everyone…

I’ve been recommended for positions by friends/connections and had recruiters that I didn’t know personally reach out to me using it. And I’ve used it for communicating with people that I don’t have email addresses for, so that’s useful as well.

I really hate LinkedIn. The interface is awful and it’s way too much to look at regardless of what page I’m on or if I’m on mobile or desktop. I use it just to have another aspect to my ‘presence’ online.
