Maybe not a myth, but I'm always annoyed by people who get in their cold car, start it, and crank the heat (fan) to the max. Unless your car has an auxiliary electric cabin heater, all you're getting is high-velocity cold air until your coolant heats up.

I'm fairly sure a ship full of Land Rovers could fall into a puddle and the cars would be useless.

They'll get halfway out before the alternator goes.

I saw a lot of them in New Hampshire in the late '90s. Most have succumbed to rust at this point, or are driven as high school beaters.

Especially fast enough to hit the back of a semi hard enough to lodge yourself underneath it.

You know, this situation sucks for sure and I'm certain it was hair raising for the driver and passengers, but it's his own damn fault. Watch where you're driving and don't drive above visibility, or your ability. I'm pretty certain that truck didn't just fall out of the sky and land in front of you.

faster than they should have been...

It still looks pretty bad.

The Swedish believe they invented something new with their "crossover sedan". Would you agree?

jacks up an S60 for ground clearance.....proceeds to put rims and low profile tires on it that will be ruined in 15 seconds.

Back end...

No cheap pickup, no care.
