I’m a little confused though because the 5.3 liter V8 gets 18 city/22 highway. . . .so why are they trying to push a 4 cylinder for 2 mpg in the city? If the gains were 10+mpg or even 5 I could see it, but who is going to spring for the turbo 4 when the V8 will do practically the same?

Many times, actually. Like Stephen said above if you drive different manuals (especially one as a DD vs say, a more performance oriented weekender) then you can forget gears. The sticks I’ve driven have always stopped at 6 so I was polling the crowd so-to-speak.

I think it’d be interesting to see how many times 7th gear is utilized in any of the cars that have it. Like, I just wonder how many folks stop at 6 and forget that 7 is there.

I think it’s a 4 door civic. Maybe not a 2018 model (like this picture) but a civic nonetheless.
