I'm assuming that you mean improved. I'd say that he's gotten worse as an actor as he's gotten more freedom as a director. He was downright serviceable in Reservoir Dogs and not too shitty in Pulp Fiction. However, he was pretty awful in Death Proof and absolutely horrendous in Django.
