The 4 wheel drums on my Valiant will lock up the wheels just the same. The stock drums on a Beetle if maintained are more than enough to stop the car, the car doesn’t weigh anything. What I think you mean is boring cars be boring. High HP is fine for me as long as the car is barely running, might blow up anytime, and held together with hopes and dreams. I do not like factory high HP cars, but modified “slow cars” that are the furthest thing from reliable or safe. Give me a STI Beetle over the STI.
