Noticed the same thing. Also your user name is appropriate.

Classic cars are 25+ years old right? And 25 years ago was 1991 as much as that makes me feel old.

I saw this F40 (maybe the same one that was at the show- who knows?) driving on the 1 just north of LA a couple of weeks ago. And then this much rarer Alfa the next day on Sunset.

AND! I saw a bike stop at a red light in SF on the way to work today.

With all parts sourced in America and made from materials mined and produced only in America! And by people that also only buy American. Because, ‘Murica.

Ha! No lift, but I did just take this pic. Sadly I spend most of my time looking at the computer.

And I even like the color! Unfortunately can’t be smogged in CA, more’s the pity. I would have thought the factory I6 on these would be dead reliable although of course an SBC would be reliable and easy to work on as well, no?

The GTS was in fact an 09 (the only year with the special transmission - you know, the one that requires $9k to replace the clutch). Great memory. I’ve got the numbers for all the repairs I did in my office.

Those repair costs are a lot less than I would have expected, and the fuel costs are actually more reasonable than I would have expected. Nice!

Wait, Lexus has over-the-air software updates? Neat! I thought that was still a Tesla-only item.

Great pics! Which car was yours?

Good point. I already prefer to drive from SF to LA, but that is about the maximum distance over flying (for example, I fly to Orange County when I have to go). My view is that flight time + airport bullshit time + car rental time ~= driving time, and if you drive you have your own nice car whereas a rental is much

I’ve done the Targa California (runs from just north of LA to Monterey) a couple of times now. Great crew and fun guys. I took the E9 one and blew a diff, and the Lincoln once which performed admirably but is just slightly worse than a 911 in the twisties.

NailED Paradise.

As an owner of an M6 GC, I approve of this. If there had been an M4 GC when I got mine - well, I probably still would have gotten the M6 version since I got a good deal, but I’d be interested in that.

Everything the Jalopnik review said about the i8 is right. It’s like driving the future. And it’s a (better looking IMHO) approach to that issue than the 918, for 10% of the price. Still expensive granted, but not crazy.

Wouldn’t it be a great world where you could choose between this and the Ford 012c? I think it would.

They made this, they just didn’t sell it in the US.

BMW would probably say that the i8 is the real version of this concept car. But even as an i8 owner I still want my new M1.

Ford 012c! I saw this in Wallpaper magazine in the late 90s. Still looks good today. Of course they’d need to get rid of the weird trunk access and steering wheel, but mix this design with running gear like the BMW i3 and I think you’d have a winner.
