Yeah. It is a good illustration of why attaching the label AI to everything has rendered the term meaningless. 

This is a much better application for AI than most I’ve seen lately. I’m assuming it’ll basically just run millions of simulations based off known traffic data to see what happens if X light is green at Y time for Z length and trying to put the best set of light patterns together.
