I hope so too. Electra's character was gutted in DD S2.

I was one of those people who wanted an Asian-American Danny Rand because the back story of the character was set in a time when cultural-appropriation was completely cool and whitey-mighty trope was cooler. I'd say times have changed drastically but then, this past weekend leaves me somber. But good news is TV

This trailer is abso-fucking-lutely badass on so many levels that I caught myself hyperventilating every time I hit play. It's hard to play it cool even if it's "only a movie". The shit-shoveling Trump era has left me desperately wanting of representation of the diversity that we live in. Those female warriors…that

Oh hell no! No, no….i don't think the OA series holds together better…i meant those dance moves hold better against the tai chi moves because some serious energy and time went into creating them and the output did show like the actors gave it all while doing them. Hell, the series was not at all engaging (I had

The problem with a show heavy on mysticism is that it doesn't work if you're asked to keep relying on your imagination to assume that something fantastic exists in the deep, dark caves but you never get to see it. You are given a character-silhouette of what lurks in the dark and what it can do but it's never brought

Ah…the "interpretive dance moves" was the phrasing used in that show which my mom totally loved by the way and i just kept nodding off. It was still much better than the tai chi recharge though, in my opinion. Must have been, once again, something to do with the acting.

Hell, if only they would charge the rest of the world to get a peek at Shao Lao the Undying Dragon who Davos characterized as " Infinite", they would have made far more money than those shady drug deals they keep peddling. While on the side, they could keep going with their world domination agenda.

That fight had raw emotions seeping through it…all brought forth by Sacha Dhawan's brilliant acting. I never thought i could find so much heart and such feelings from this show unless Ward is onscreen. But nope. Sacha Dhawan brought his A game.

If they do decide to go with that pairing, I hope that they put it off for as long as they can. Not because Misty/Danny won't be good…I love Simone Missick and she can play off of a cement pillar and bring depth to the screen. But i really don't want any of the Defenders to get set into a fixed romantic relationship

I would have cringed but then i focused on Colleen's super-cute smile and my chi warmed up right there and then.

Did anyone get the OA series vibe from the duo in that scene… The Five Moves of the Angels (or, whatever it was called….couldn't finish that series!)… I thought they are about to start hissing at each other too.

Yeah…lot of people under this thread share a similar sentiment.
If I may remark completely off the conversation though…I am a huge fan of Amy Aacker's Root portrayal and your username and pic just reminded me how much I miss her & POI. Now that show knew how to direct action sequences!!

I felt like I was striving against all odds to reach the end just so I could watch Defenders and not feel lost about the references from IF series. Now I think they should shoot Defenders without mentioning much from this series because really, not much did happen!!

Yes, I remember that scene and to me it didn't feel like he became calm. It was more like he was silently sulking because he thought Claire wouldn't understand. May be the writing wanted to show how he did control himself Davos-style but the acting just didn't reflect it that way, for me.

Don't compare this series to Fargo because Iron Fist just isn't compelling writing-wise to make that kind of comparison on any level. I agree that it is a disappointment but i still managed to watch it all the way till the end. The dialogues are a problem, the acting of the lead character is a problem, the

*GASP* You take that back, sir!

I kinda wanna lock the two together just to see who goes insane first. My money is on Danny.

In these last episodes, Danny says, "I'm the Iron Fist" soooo many times that after a while I mentally started replacing it with, "I am Groot."

Yes, i have read that and also, that before IF and right after GOT he wasn't getting offered many roles. It's not like he is a well accomplished actor who could demand a pay hike and choose the roles. He's a novice in comparison and hopefully, he'll get there someday but he's a lot to learn regarding his art.

Oh hell no! He'll spend half of the season saying, "NO, YOU SUCK!" to Jessica Jones and will run away crying!
