I understand what they think they’re doing quite well. They are not suing over copyrights (which are not involved at all). And they’re not exactly suing over trademark, either. They believe, erroneously, that they are owed money because Rockstar mentioned Pinkertons in what would be considered a proper historical…
That’s entirely on Securitas for not doing sufficient due diligence on their part and deciding to half-ass the rebranding from “Pinkerton Detective Agency” to “Pinkerton Consulting & Investigations.”
It’s possible, though if they were going purely for publicity purposes, I’d think they would be making noises about “disparagement” or some similar nonsense which would alter the flavor of the impending proceedings without changing their inevitable outcome one iota.
This is not going to go well for Securitas. At best, it’s only going to create a Streisand Effect for the game (which sounds improbable, but not impossible). At worst, the judge will throw the suit out, Securitas will take a hit financially because they picked an incredibly stupid hill to die on, AND there will be a…
*possible spoiler* Pretty sure it was Petra who shot him. There’s an awkward pause in the text when she presents you with Vestian Dynasty, and it strongly implies that she pulled the trigger on Uldren (which was her job).
Thunderlord dropped at 600 for me on my Warlock (which was at 600), but my other toons it dropped at 599 because they weren’t quite there yet. A friend of mine I think got it at a much lower level than that because they hadn’t been playing much and were at a lower LL.
Nifty stuff, though the Vulcan cannon on the A-10 looks a little small.
Sounds vaguely like a tabletop version of Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem.
Well, damn.
Weirdly enough, one of the treasure goblin levels has an aesthetic even Lisa Frank would have said was a little too much. Also one of my favorite levels to pop into.
Who’s at 590 Light by this point?
Bad Omens with Tracking and Cluster Bomb. It is my very favorite rocket launcher.
Weirdest damned Gambit round I’ve had so far: my team banks motes like clockwork, throwing out blockers, we’re just cruising along. We summon the Primeval. I take a look at the other side’s score. Zero motes banked. They didn’t even start invading until after our Primeval was summoned, and it was probably the most…
I had not considered Nicolaj Coster-Waldau before, and I’m kind of kicking myself for it. He’s got the physicality. I think he could pull off the right blend of surly professionalism, worldweary cynicism, and acid wit needed for the role. But he might be tired of the whole swords-and-sorcery genre and needs a break…
Can’t recall, but I think I had rolled up a Tauren Paladin on Ysera before Legion. If you see “Sacredkhow” running around, say hello. :)
Da fuq?
For me, I just explored and remembered. The password system was so screwed up, you ended up memorizing the layout of the place because you passed through the same spots so many times. It didn’t quite become muscle memory, but not too far off from it, either.
I finally recovered my base after the 1.52 patch. The act of recovering the base itself set off the Sentinels. Now I can’t step outside for more than a minute without the little bastards trying to kill me. Not doing anything, mind you, just for existing around my base.
And somehow, I’m still unemployed.
