Having owned many older, big cars...A) I cannot believe I didn’t make this comparison. B) It is very, very true. As far as “passenger luxury” (space, comfort, ease of entry, ride), the older car really does a better job. Someone below made the case of the Continental vs Continental. I haven’t driven a new Continental,

Damn, I was going to say the same thing about my ‘54 Bel Air, that it’s main performance mark was to move people around comfortably, and that it does that as good as any modern Chevy sedan that I’ve been in.

You know why Germany doesn’t have modern day debates about tearing down memorials to Hitler? Because, for the most part, no one left any intact.

I valet, and can absolutely vouch for this. Old Cadillacs are big, smooth, and overly cushioned. They look and drive like boats. The new ones are really firm all around, much smaller, and less friendly inside. These like and drive like rocks.

I would say this car is perfectly safe at posted speed limits, so dodge can sue for libel.

“but he apparently looked old enough if the drive-through counter still served him.”

Because, if there’s one thing the drive-thru workers are famous for, it’s their diligence and attention to detail.

Politicians are really fucking stupid.

One of my favorite Simpsons quotes:

Actually, the durability of synthetic hair is about half of what real hair is however, it is much cheaper and does not require styling. Real hair used in wigs and extensions is more versatile and easier to work with, but the supply is limited.

Maybe he should’ve drawn a red line in the sand. That always works.

Curses aren’t real.

I work in the museum field and this happens a lot. The bottom line is many universities don’t want museums on their property. They take a lot of upkeep and staff etc and demand a lot in terms of fundraising effort for very little benefit. (Other than, you know, education and research) And what they are doing here is

I’ll never buy another new used one.

That was my thought too - I’m an architect and work with schools, and nothing in a renovation of this scale would ever move at a pace that would require decisions within months, let alone 48 hours, because unless they’re breaking ground next week, it just doesn’t matter for the time being. Just seems like the boss is
