Don't worry, I'm with you. I can't stand reggae.

That kinda looks like a fried egg, rather than a poached egg. Delicious I'm sure, but not sure it counts as a replacement.
houses are full of shit kids shouldn't drink...
I LOVE having two computer monitors at work. I don't know how I ever lived without them. Whoever decided that was a good idea and made it work is a hero.
I used to have a job that required professional dress, and dry cleaning was absolutely a convenience for which I was willing to pay. Ironing is of the devil.
So, let me get this straight... unless you have the proper driver, you are SCREWED!
So this "tiny" home is almost 1,000 square feet bigger than my condo. Sounds like a mansion to me.
1900 sq/ft is "quite small"? I must have lived in the Bay too long.
Is 1900 sq ft really consider "quite small" now?
Although Word has an equation editor, it's a major hassle to use in my math and engineering classes. This, combined with the other irritations of Word, is why I converted to LaTeX.
Step 1 : exit Word and use LaTeX
That's really bizarre. I've lived in the Midwest and the West Coast and have never encountered a restaurant that wouldn't split a check. Perhaps it's an East Coast thing?
I'm from Texas. We rarely have this problem. We say separate checks at the beginning. If they want to get paid, they'd better bring us separate checks. Once in a great while this does not work and we all have to figure this out and count out what little cash we have on us. Sometimes we just sit at the table…
I don't know why separate checks are inconceivable to people. Waitstaff aren't morons, they can handle it. Is it a cultural thing? Do people enjoy the post meal hassle?
Non-headbanging alternative: empty one cabinet or drawer at a time, close it, and put a piece of painter's tape or whatever (just not duct or packing) on the handles to note it's clear.
Hunger Games is losing to Back to the Future?! Katniss fans, I am disappoint.
I'm on board - but it's going to be too tough a pull against the Princess Bride. Series that are just books should not be put up against series that also have movie or miniseries adaptations, at least not in the early rounds, if you ask me.
I think the lesson here is that literature will almost always lose to movies/tv. It's the only explanation I can think of for why The Culture isn't doing better (although I admit 2001 is a bit of a book/movie/comic juggernaut).
Where my Wheel of Time fans at? I want an upset!
