I noticed this before seeing these blog post and brought it to my apple store they gave me a weird fix.

I noticed my compass wasn't right when in google maps. just checked it now, my compass is like 80 degrees off, facing west, and the compass says north.

3 things,

Stocks are super regulated already, regulation that costs billions, So please elaborate and what regulation would help and explain why. And no I'm not saying that apple gets money when someone trades their stock, but when they do public offering they definitely get paid.

Its hard to tell what the market impact would be, but i tend to think it would be a negative net economic impact. As for stocks not providing capital for companies anymore, that is just not true. Plus I would venture to say most traders in Chicago(and globally to a lesser extent) don't even trade stocks. here are some

Or it would make crashes longer and create higher volatility! Because everyone has to wait 1 second to trade it wouldn't allow for market information to be decimated quickly enough and correction would take longer.

yes u are correct, I just did the math my bad 3.9 ms at the speed of light in air (for 740 miles) with no stops! Some microwave companies boast 8.5ms round trips which is probably the fastest they can get with out having a direct no stop microwave line. So looks like insider trading to me

one could easily make $200 mil a year from a 5 ms advantage.

Good thought but DOS attacks wouldn't work, private networks easy to figure out who is doing the attack. But that would be a really cool idea for a mid budget movie. like hacker finance drama, with a rich evil boss vs a young cool relate-able guy. the young trader gets screwed over uses his once given up hacking

only the sucker hft companies in chicago use fiber

fiber is slow like 12 ms for a round trip. Most Microwave hit the 4-5 ms mark one way, slower than actual speed of light through air due to the multiple stops. There have been talks of a trading company building its own new micro wave line with fewer stops, This could be it. Or could be insider trading. most likely

1 second is crazy long. 15 ms sure, 1 second would be so boring

why would it ruin people 401k's? when market glitches happen, the exchanged reveres the trades. Liquidity crunches are relatively short term (some lasting in seconds, most in minutes) so price variability during those is short lived (especially for the 401k investor). Yes, there might be an instant where some senior

They have cricket flour that is high in protein and low in fat(more protein that ground beef of comparable weight). It doesn't have any negative taste either. However, do not bring cupcakes to work made with cricket flour and neglect to tell everyone that its made with crickets. You get in big trouble with HR.

what is HD audio?

Apple doesnt price on costs, So yeah maybe they can make it cheaper, but their economic/marketing/finance wizards decided 100$ would be a good price for the 5C.

but then maybe no one would of bought them with out the perception of being a luxury good, also the margins for smart phones wouldn't be as high so competitors didn't care to enter the market, innovation wouldn't happen, mobile internet would be light years behind, Google never makes android, instagram never started

While true that the price difference doesn't correlate to the difference in cost, whats wrong with charging $100 more to double the memory? Price discrimination at its finest.

USB 2 only...

the 2.1 amp (split between two plugs) will charge 1 ipad (2 amp device) or 2, 1 amp devices (think two iphone or smart phones). The 1 amp version will only charge 1 smart phone (at the same speed as apple's phone charger) or two devices at 500 mamp. (the same amps as a computer USB port).
