On another note, what’t subaru is this in the picture. It sure is not USDM bugeye WRX as only 2.5RS model came in this color and it didn’t have a hood scoop. The WRXs had only one blue model and it was the signature World Rally Blue which obviously wasn’t as purple as the car in the pix.

Shifting habits? what?

ummm, sorry, no.

huh? it was a regular open diff in the back if I’m remembering correctly. You’re probably talking about an STI set up that had LSD and center lock out.

there are most likely no pristine WRXs left in MT. Even grandma would shatter that horrible 5speed sooner or later.

I have a 2015 S MT an from the enthusiast’s standpoint it has everything that I want and nothing that i’d be missing. actually it has more things that I would want but they’re minor items such as XM radio, hill start assist etc. The cloth seats are much nicer than leather, they hold you better are cooler to sit on in

both my phone redbulltv app and roku work fine. In a pinch you can watch it online on your computer as well

are we still talking about the Up! GTI that blockheads was recommending? I thought that this is what you referred to and that’s why is was surprised since that tiny car should easily exceed the MPGs that a Golf GTI gets.

what? I get that in a Golf GTI easily and still having plenty fun with my right foot pedal.

lol, I see what you did here as Octavia was actually the largest WRC of its time. Have a star.

why? what driver abilities would that actually test? Pretty dangerous and there is already a ton of excitement at a regular rally stages. Stunts like the above are for lazy spectators that want to sit on their but and wait for hot dog man to come by while they’re being amused by potential wrecks... lame...

reading comprehension - the driver was only “4 hours into the McLaren rental before they crashed it..” meaning that they only rented it 4 hours before, not for 4 hours. The rental could have been for a day, two or a week. The article doesn’t say.

Apple CarPlay and Amazon Alexa Connectivity... words that automatically turn me off when talking about any car...

yeah, if you need a 3 minute video to explain how a basic function such as shifting gears in your car works, then your engineering department failed miserably... (not) Only in a Jeep

It’s a solution to a problem that didn’t exist. all these electronics in cars in place of mechanical solutions are actually creating more problems then necessary. I guess the engineers need to justify their existence when the times are tough and design these sub-par new “functionalities” that look nice but are

show me which jobs will get eliminated with the autonomous cars and how many of them will it be. The trucking industry could use up to 80k new drivers that are not applying and the current workforce is aging quickly. The cabbies will be better off getting their fat asses out of the cars and doing something else

some industries are primed for this. The trucking industry is facing a driver shortage like they have never seen before. There is about 40 to 80k drivers less than the industry could use. I’m perfectly fine with filling these vacancies with autonomous trucks.

it’s progress, people will find other things to do. Just like they did when horses were eliminated from farming and other industries became more automated. That’s how societies get ahead in life. The ones that don’t adapt get left behind and become 3rd world countries or economies that get exploited by others.

you do not want that job. You’re better off staying in your cube.

there is a lot of good discussion here and a lot of valid points. One of the aspects of the discussion would also be, why this woman with the bike was crossing the street in the first place. It’s not like you can’t see the oncoming car’s headlights so why made her think it’s was OK. Was intoxication a factor here? Who
