Love this series so far! If you’re ever up here in Nova Scotia, I owe you a coffee! :)
Also, if you ARE ever up here in Nova Scotia, I suggest the Cabot Trail as a possible trip - gorgeous scenery!

Agreed! The Ritmo may have rusted away if you took your eyes off of it for a second, but I love the styling of it, especially the first-gen! Very cool little cars!
Yup, it seems VW had a ‘thing’ for journalists over a few weeks. The earliest I saw them was Sept. 29th, but Jason and David were doing this a few days ago, so that that’s at least two weeks.
I don’t think so, Jason has posts on his Twitter feed from the last day implying they are here now...? The Hovercraft tweet he made shows they are somewhere on Nova Scotia’s west coast near the Annapolis Valley as that same hovercraft is for sale on Kijiji over there!
Opposite side of the province to me unless they…
HOLY SHIT! I SAW YOU GUYS ON SEPTEMBER 29TH AND HAD NO IDEA! I even posted on VW Canada’s own Twitter page asking what a California was doing here!!! Saw you between Mahone Bay and Lunenburg as I was coming out of my driveway and followed you towards Lunenburg for 5 minutes!!!
Saw one a few years ago and specifically took a picture of the hood badge because of how cool it was! :D
Amen...my eyes and neck haven’t been recalled luckily!
I’ve had no issues with it whatsoever, including updates of any sort.
I still use mine primarily for everything, though I do also have an HP laptop running Linux Mint 19.2 as well.
I’ve had Win10 since 2016 and have had nothing go wrong with it whatsoever for the record? I used the Free Upgrade Period to upgrade to it directly from Windows 7 (which I had also had no issues at all with).
I do agree that their support options are garbage though.
....so....how is this going to have enough battery power to run Transit Stages between rally stages after going flat out and still make it to the Rally Park, etc on time without having to spend a million minutes recharging? They have very tight schedules...?
If I could get a Fiat 500 or Hyundai Accent-sized hatchback with this:
“...achieve a max range of around 400 miles on a single charge...”
...once the charging times come down and infrastructure increases, I would be perfectly happy.
I’m just here to thank you for mentioning the Piaggio Ape, because it’s awesome and I really want to import an Piaggio Ape TM...
Great story! I know they are terrible....but I would much rather have this than that G-Class in the one picture! :)
Also until EV charging stations are as plentiful and easily accessible as fuel stations...the non-home charging infrastructure just isn’t there yet.
Because they effectively buy one off the lot because otherwise a Manufacturer could ‘beef up’ a supplied car to the IIHS to give their brand/model inflated ratings compared to the stock production car.
You mean for replacement chip keys if you lose one? Simple solution is don’t lose it. Also, is $300 too high a price to pay when it’s that easy to steal a lot of modern vehicles...? It’s a lot harder to defeat a physical chip key in an ignition because you have to defeat the physical key AND the chip in it. Proximity…
Hate to be that guy, but were these trucks all models with a proximity key? Because if the technology is easy enough to hack that kids that don’t even have a license yet can do it then.....why are we not using chip physical keys again...?
If the Taycan attempt was using stock tires and a stock car, how close to production is this Tesla model that tried for their record? If it’s far off from the production car, it’s not really a fair comparison.
They’re my favorite car, so I’ve researched them a lot! :)
Yup...you pretty much ARE the crumple zone in a 126 :P
Are you from Poland?
