I just read the short story last week, and am curious about how they’re going to do the adaptation as well. Like, will they even bother with the personal life passages?
I’m a mobile developer, and we just finished a project that required real time audio processing and playback on both Android and iOS. It worked well on iOS, but on Android was a nightmare, and never reached acceptable levels of quality.

I am with you 100% on the living wage. I think it’s important to note that if you choose to live somewhere where you don’t get a living wage when better options are available, then that’s a choice.

I’m so sorry! That’s the name I submitted to the contest. I never thought it'd become a reality!
Update: The modern furniture retailer added up to 65% off on outdoor furniture and seating, plus a flash sale with…
Thanks for that, and I agree. You definitely need a way to vet reviews and products. I also think Amazon should leave out sponsored/discounted/not-bought-on-Amazon reviews from the star charts. If they did, I suspect the number of shills would drop, because Amazon knows whether or not you bought something there, and,…
Sorry, but your type of “I posted this review in return for a free product” is IMO in the same vein as the entirely fake ones.
Ranking is a concern because it’s supposed to be a sign of how helpful you are, which is supposed to help people make buying decisions. There’s more incentive to post a review when you think your review will be read and used, and so there’s an incentive to have a better rank.
It’s more of a sign that someone’s been helpful, that their reviews can be trusted, etc. - or that’s what it should be and what it used to be. Now, though, it’s a sign that someone is able to roll out half a dozen reviews in a day without doing much more than opening a box, if they do even that.
You realize that the people who get free products are the type to leave lengthy, detailed reviews that are actually helpful? Maybe you’re more interested in one-star reviews that say “products works as described but the UPS driver was late” or “I bought the wrong product because I didn’t read the description” or “this…
I actually like doing reviews. I like seeing the new stuff that’s out there. I like being able to intelligently compare similar items I would not have bought (at least not all of them). I give away the things I get (except for a few). I try to help people decide.
It is indeed mostly junk, which I why I stopped getting most of it. Sometimes there’s good stuff. Usually not. The higher you’re ranked the better the stuff... but it’s still mostly junk.
See my comment. I posted an honest review and got hammered by votes that I can only assume were bought off Amazon Turk. There are honest reviewers of products there - I’m one of them - but Amazon’s policies make us afraid to post anything negative, so those of us who actually stand by our reviews tend to just not post…
I hope that Amazon truly is cracking down on fake reviews, but I have reason to doubt it. Here’s why:
oh, amazon doesn’t like this code... says it is invalid!!

Maybe his post has been on hold all this time.
Just like all those fools that could be playing hockey, basketball, football etc... Why bother watching it on the TV?
