Thank you. I feel like this article is the least generous interpretation of his words that we could possibly come up with. I feel like the “toe-to-toe” comment was basically meaning that they don’t always need to be fighting, but when they need to, she could stand up to him. I know it’s cool to make fun of Henry…
His phrasing may have the sloppy inelegance of someone who’s just musing, but this doesn’t set off any alarms for me. I don’t think the fear is derived from Superman’s violent nature, but because there is a literal power imbalance in the relationship. It could be construed as a backhanded way to diminish Lois’…
I guess. But I’ve been reading Superman for 20 years and hell, I couldn’t answer the question. PLUS, he probably doesn’t want to give the “wrong” answer and piss off crazy fans who think the answer he gives has any bearing whatsoever on the outcome of the film. Believe me, who Henry Cavill thinks Superman should date…
Well... he is an ACTOR, not a writer or comic books expert. Give the guy a break.
This is the most Gawker-esque articled I’ve seen in awhile on io9. Do you think you could be any more shocked and disgusted at absolutely nothing?
What’s the over/under for the date in which every Black Mirror episode has come true?
I think you touched upon the ultimate irony of the whole series. 95% (99%?) of what’s going on South of the Wall is people losing their lives to rearrange the Titanic’s deckchairs.
I still remember all the smarmy comments from people around that time. "See, Lost fans? THIS is how you write a compelling story!"
I must not be paying attention. Are we supposed to be pretending "Take Me to Church" is a bad song?
An extended life would help people appreciate the world better; at the moment few care what happens after they've passed, let alone what happens thousands or millions of years from now. A prolonged existence would give them some much needed perspective and force them to face the consequences.
I don't have any wise thoughts on the subject, but wanted to thank you for posting it and expanding my awareness.
Mat Fraser was stunning on AHS, and his character's story was particularly poignant. I wonder how much of that backstory was echoed from his own life experiences.
THANK YOU! The entire article I was thinking " I know that title from somewhere."
