It looks like the DLC plans are telegraphed: the doors in the castle. Many of them have a blank spot where a symbol should be. They’ll add in new villagers to bring to town, new little realms and quests, as they go on. Likely each new character or story will come with new outfits and furniture in their theme too.

Vasquez could be a dang trilogy. Plus, there's that line from the initial briefing, "Is this another bug hunt sarge?" So that squad has gone up against some sort of alien before, just not the xenomorphs. Writes itself!

If your employees might die from medical conditions because of the state they work in, it's not a "political" decision. It's something that you need to firmly commit to or else lose a lot of people who quit because they don't feel safe.

I think the MCU has avoided a lot of staleness by making each film/character have a different genre. Star Wars feels samey because it is. Star Wars is also obsessed with the same five characters. It’s why Mandalorian was such a breath of fresh air: it leaned hard into space western and felt genuinely different from

Oh for sure! I'm sorry I didn't mean recast for the movie. I meant they can recast the Flash going forward since this movie has been billed as sort of the start of the new DC cinematic universe.

Luckily for the studio, if there’s one character with a huge history of multiverse hopping time travel rewrite reality nonsense, it’s the Flash. They can recast him in a heartbeat and not even the die hard fans would bat an eye.

I also feel like modders are in heaven. Instead of fighting over that one empty stretch of road near Whiterun, they can just scatter and grab one of the random procedural planets and make the whole thing over with little risk of conflict with another mod.

I’m not sure it’s even pseudo-, it was pretty A to B. Loved it! But it wasn’t exactly open.

Sounds like it’s the campaign story and open world that they’re focused on when they say it’s different, surely? Shooter gameplay is similar: there’s (up to) 4 players, you’re blasting hordes, there’s special enemies with their own powers. But if this really is open world instead of linear levels, if there’s a story

Eh I don’t see this as a huge problem. We’ve already heard the script is something like twice the size of Skyrim. Not every planet will have a bespoke story sure but plenty will! This is Bethesda we’re talking about, they’ve never really been skimpy on dungeons and environmental storytelling and side quests.

Having so many explorable planets is going to be a massive boon to the mod community. No more (well not as much anyway) conflicts with folks trying to use the same single picturesque valley for different quests or castles.

I'm sorry I can't hear you out I'm too busy looking for my wallet. I'd honestly watch literally anything that was zero stakes Star Wars. Rodian romance novelist with writer's block, pod racing circuit, Coruscant real estate, wookie hairstylist in the style of those tattoo artists shows, whatever.

Exactly! Space Western on the edge of civilization, with colonists and frontier problems like hunger and bandits and the like. Firefly showed us a space western without the Jedi Order complicating matters. Seems like a pretty simple premise for a Star War

It’hange things up, they let each one do it’s own thing, generally speaking. They vary on quality but they don’t feel the same to me.

Ashoka is going after Thrawn, so sadly that show isn’t going to be episodic Have Gun Will Travel/Littlest Hobo/Kung Fu which is a damn shame.

Right? Rival crime families, do a Space Godfather. It's Coruscant so you can throw in House of Cards if they have political connections. You can add some Wire in there if you want corrupt cops like the possibilities are endless! Instead we have gotten Tatooine for one million hours of tv.

Every time we do this, the universe feels a little smaller. I feel like Star Wars would vastly benefit from cutting ties and just going somewhere new, telling a new story with new people. It doesn’t have to be a new time! Show a frontier planet with some jumped up Imperial with a small fleet setting up as a warlord aft

I like the “we’re entirely outmatched” vibe here. That’s how the early days of the Rebel Alliance should feel! I’d love to see some Alderaan somewhere in one of these series. Why we’ve only rarely explored it I have no idea. If anything deserves extra context to retroactively make the tragedy more meaningful, it’s

Honestly I don’t even really want a Daredevil series BUT if we must what I want is low stakes. Please for all that’s holy don’t make Daredevil stumble across idk a plot to turn everyone in the world into soup or whatever. Have him fight a serial killer or hell solving a murder or something. We don’t have to make the

I think the key element wasn’t that he was interrupted. The key screw up was when Peter interpreted and changed the parameters of the spell. Strange started the ball rolling and then (arrogantly) tried to change the spell midstream, and several times at that. They show the complexity building in the different rings
