People always try the hard way. My history is filled with a lot of data URI links with notepads and javascript or CSS experiments.

All IEs don't support data URI ( with some exceptions ), and until IE8 it don't support content editable.

So Gawker and Reddit don't fully support HTTPs? I'm sad for that, they are the only websites without it here.
