In My Humble Opinion
I love watching them. I 100% understand why people do this. Would I do it myself? Not a chance, at least not without a parachute or a harness as backup. Even then I’d question it.
1,480 light years. At the speed of Voyager 1, the fastest man made spacecraft, it would take 26 million years to arrive.
Skydiving wouldn’t bother you. I know people who are absolutely terrified of heights and they were fine skydiving. Usually when people say they are scared of heights, it is more they are scared of the feeling of vertigo you get when you are standing on top of a tall object.
I know, that’ll be crazy!
Speaking of computers in the 90's. Does anybody else feel that computers have lost their ...not sure how to put it, but maybe their mystique? In the 90's, computers were something pretty special because they were so new and not everybody and their dog knew about them. Back then, I could say…
I know, I was watching a video the other night about teenagers experiencing the internet from the 1990's. The video was made in 1997. The one kid (who was around 15) said “Oh man, look at their clothes! This is so old!”. It made me feel quite old (I’m 33).
Utahn here...No disease. Yet.
In order to become a tandem master (to take other people that are strapped to you on jumps), you are required to have a minimum of 500 jumps and you HAVE to have used your reserve parachute at least once
“The quest for perfectly ice is older than mankind”
Your confusing use of where vs. were is making my head hurt trying to read your paragraph.
I came here to say this. Typosquatting is definitely nothing new. It’s been around for ages.
These videos are strangely compelling. I’ve watched almost all of James Kingstons’ videos and ever since, whenever I see a tall crane, I think: “Huh, I could climb that!”.
If you ask me, I think if you spend all this money JUST for a football game, you are crazy...But I hate football with an unyielding passion, so I’m a bit biased.
The government actually likes people assuming Area 51 has aliens because it keeps people looking for that instead of evidence of their top-secret aircraft and military technology.
You will ‘azure’ me? Haha. I can’t take you seriously if you can’t use the word ‘assure’ correctly.
I worked for a company with around 140 people. The management wouldn’t pay to buy people workstations, so literally everybody used their own personal laptops. As the sysadmin for the company, I had my hands completely full configuring and fixing employees’ shitty computers. They were also extremely demanding,…
Terrible.
I suppose before they were created, trying to create semiconductors was also pointless. Many people thought radio was pointless when it was being worked on. Lord Kelvin was known to have said ‘Heavier than air flying machines are impossible’, which tells me he would have thought it was pointless to even try.
History is…
