But basements are where trolls live!

I saw him do standup a few years ago. I didn't know what to expect, but I still don't know how to describe it.
It wasn't typical jokes, it was mostly just meandering. And he made fun of himself for singing "My bum is on the cheese / If I get lucky I'll get a disease" then contracting testicular cancer.

It's his sunken eyes & receding hairline

I liked the "observational humor" bits where he dressed in camouflage and live-narrated the going-ons of people on the street with a megaphone.
There's some kind of meta-statement in there about how people react when they know they're being watched…

and maybe just the on-location episodes (like the spring break ones or whatever) were filmed in advance.

It wasn't instant. It was a long campaign for it to overtake NSync & Gloria Estefan's "Music of my Heart".
It wasn't until September or so when they were trying out that new street-level studio. I remember because Tom Green was there that day and when it was announced he ran outside and hugged everybody.

Does anyone else remember the Green-hosted episode of SNL? Probably the most bizarre episode of it I've ever seen.

I'd argue that the cable access mentality is more about doing stupid shit to amuse oneself, rather than trolling, which is about trying to get the maximum possible rise out of people you can't stand.

You're in luck! The article make it sound like it will be.

I'm old enough to remember when everything was Hamilton.

Yeah, I still use an auxiliary jack.

Vincent Twice Vincent Twice

One dollar!

I've seen Ferris Bueller. I know how that ends…

The parlor.

I'm more peeved that he's stretching the image to fill the 16:9 screen.

It's a crash crash crash…

You've gotten TV off?

Put me in the hospital for nerves and then they had to commit me
You told them all I was crazy
They cut off my legs now I'm an amputee
Goddamn you
