I am waiting for the next IIHS test to be the "Surviving Small Arms Fire" test and then up to "IED Protection" test because they really are running out of shit to make up for tests.

That is still my favorite F1 car of all time, right behind it is the John Player Special.

[HISTORY] Neutral: Overlap Crash Tests Bothering You? Do you accept when you buy a small car a tiny amount of safety tradeoff? Or does this bother you?

Since we are importing smog from China now in California its added time...that and traffic on the 91.

Living in Cali I can just drive from my house in 80 degree weather about 2 hours up in to the mountains, AWD donuts, and then be back in time for sundown BBQ at the beach. All while wearing shorts.

All I ask is that in an industry that thrives on creativity — or, as some would have it, an industry that thrives on the endless desires of creatives with stifled creativity — that we come up with a new word, please. Or at least be more descriptive. If you're a designer or engineer reading this, please pass this along

Beat me too it. There are a few Mini Cooper S in ST class and base Mini Coopers in B-Spec. Nothing beat watching a Kia Forte cut on the inside of a GTI as it chased down a Camaro on the Corkscrew.

Placed in the mid-to-low $30s it's probably a good bet they'll move a ton of them.

Oh, you've heard of the Geo Prizm before. But perhaps not this one. The GSi was basically a Toyota Corolla with a 4AGE under the hood. Toyota didn't even import a Corolla with a 4AGE in it. So a 130 horsepower twin cam small sedan, very very cool.

They would have to get a 6 speed manual that is for a RWD platform that hooks up to a small engine. If they have to pay for development on one, which I suspect they will, then I think they will just go for the CVT.

I think that Nissan will then try and get you into the Z car at that point. I really see this as a Good/Better/Best situation in the show room. You can have the good IDx, or the better Z if you want a manual, or the best GT-R if you want it as fast as possible. Also it helps get them in spec for emissions and MPG

Same series but Kia is in a different class, the Optima is in GTS the lower class, Acura will be running the RTR TLX in GT. I will say that Kia Racing has had a really good run, they have won a few races and seen a lot of the podium in the last couple years. It helped that the first year had Michael Galati at the

Put that in a TLX and I would even buy one.

I am okay with this, especially if it is a CVT. Before you come to my house and beat me with a torque wrench hear me out. This will be a low priced sports car with a small engine, one of the main concerns of buyers in this category (read young people/first time buyers) will be fuel economy. Using a CVT Nissan will

I think my perfect IDx would be a 2+2 with a 1.6L turbo running through a CVT to the rear wheels. After owning a CVT and driving a couple really well programmed ones from Nissan I am all for this. My flame suit is ready for the incoming.

All we need is for Acura to have a TLX with the twin turbo V6 in the WC GT car that RTR is racing this year. You want exciting, that would be exciting, they would also sell like 100 of them. Because Acura know their buyer, and they are successful, so why deviate from a working formula? I think if they can get more

I believe that the previous owner is a truly altruistic person and was thinking about the second owner by keep up on maintenance and making sure the car was in perfect condition. That or she got taken by super shady sales guys.

My last 2 purchases have been used, my Mitsubishi still had a factory warranty so when the transmission and engine blew one night it was all covered. Then over the next 6 weeks as the dealer had issues getting parts and then getting the car running right it was purchased back from me. I replaced it with a used Honda

But how do you dragon an electric car? There is no tail pipe? Oh wait...I think I am getting confused about this conversation.

Mr Lutz, do you feel that coach building cars will have a resurgence with the use of modern techniques and materials? People are starting to focus on "buying local" do you think that car companies could make a case that they can fit that model?
